I wasn’t sure what to expect from Mauritius, a tiny little speck of land in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Madagascar. It is a tropical paradise with a mix of cultures, languages, religions and stunning natural beauty. We swam with sea turtles and explored. We also loaded up on snacks at the local grocery for the leg to South Africa.
