Victory at Sea

It’s been exciting out here! As we edge closer to Japan the weather has been ever changing. Today is the first day that we have had cooler temps. Up until now it has been very warm and tropical feeling. Yesterday started warm and sunny but by afternoon it was rainy, cool and the swells had grown to 18’. We are still experiencing high winds, big swells and rain.

We have traveled about 6000 miles since we left Ensenada and still have 4 more days until we reach Japan. We fill days with reading, keeping up with homework, conversation, games, working out, and lectures. I have found some music making friends and we have been working up some jazz standards and funky tunes. It’s a good exercise in arrangement and is generally motivating me to practice.

Off to Global Studies!
