Jan 7th: Way Out West

We are about 1000 miles out in the Pacific Ocean. You can look 360 degrees and see nothing but water. Several of our traveling companions are seasick. I would be except the sticky transdermal patch behind my ear is doing its job.

Our kids started their studies today for both independently and courses on board. It is incredibly beautiful out here and the undulating of the ocean is mesmerizing.

There are so many interesting people onboard to chat to and learn from. Journalists, film makers, photographers, musicians, Most importantly, there is ample down time in between ports to reflect, unwind and reflect. It is amazing not having easy access to the 24 hour news cycle. I have personally been filling the time, with reading books, camera tinkering, playing guitar and drinking coffee with our new community here on the water.
