Yesterday we crossed the prime meridian at the equator for a “zero zero crossing”.
There is a buoy there maintained by the U.S. and a couple other countries near the spot. We crossed the actual spot and then found the nearby buoy (it drifted) and did a circle around it. A fellow traveler scattered her husband’s ashes and other tossed notes written to deceased loved ones on biodegradable paper into the sea. It was a nice moment.
We arrived in Ghana this AM and off off to play some soccer with the locals.
